This class builds on the foundation established in Levels 1 and 2 of this series.  It continues to emphasize the knowledge and skills needed by a supervisor in a 21^st century organization.  Participants are introduced to the concept of systems thinking and how it is operating in the contemporary organization.  The class discovers the elements and influences within the organizational system and examines how they affect the entire organization.  Students explore how to improve performance through effective management and coaching.  They investigate the elements of performance and how to determine the most appropriate approach to developing a coaching relationship with performers and how to sustain the behavior over time.  Workplace communication is re-emphasized in this session to reinforce concepts examined in Levels 1 and 2.  Actual examples of how effective communication works in a 21^st century organization are examined to discover their application. To strengthen the supervisor’s influence, the class investigates the power of behavior modeling to learn how to change behaviors to improve interactions and outcomes.  Supervisors in the 21^st century must use effective networking to enhance their ability to achieve goals and improve personal performance. 

The class examines what networking is, how it works, how to build and sustain an effective network, and builds on the knowledge already at work. Participants examine their personal and professional trajectory, whether it be vertically or horizontally.  Emphasis is placed on the need to continuously develop themselves to maintain the level of knowledge and skill needed to be even more effective now and in the future.
